Materials and origins of our tableware
Today it is our turn to talk about the materials and origins of our collections, especially the tableware. It is true that in each of the plates we detail the origin and the material, but even so you are many who ask us the differences between some materials and others, the resistance or durability. Well, first of all I would like to tell you that all our collections are made in Europe. This point is very important to us because we take great care in selecting manufacturers who use local materials, traditional manufacturing processes and advocate a high level of environmental responsibility through recycling and reusing materials.
Many of the pieces are handmade and finished by hand, signs that can be seen in many of them in their shapes and imperfections in the textures and colors.

- Our stoneware tableware is manufactured in the UK, Portugal and Germany. Nowadays stoneware is the most commonly used material for tableware along with porcelain. In a high vitrification, it provides a very high durability and resistance, and also allows a great variety of finishes and textures on its surface, from colored reagents to full vitrification on both sides of the plate, which provides extra durability for intensive use in restoration or in the home.
- Our porcelain tableware is manufactured in Limoges (France), Portugal and Germany. Porcelain is the material par excellence for tableware, especially for restaurant dishes, where the quality required is maximum when it comes to serving and plating. The fact that porcelain is the lightest and strongest material also makes it a favourite material for tableware in the best restaurants.
- The crockery collections are manufactured in Portugal by Bordalho Pinheiro and in Seville by the legendary Cartuja. Although it is the most delicate material due to its low cooking, it uses this weak point as its greatest strength, as it is the most mouldable material, allowing us to create unmatched shapes and textures, such as our favourite Bordalho Pinheiro leaf dishes or the precious Cartuja Fish dishes.
